About Me: Real Life Story
I grew up in West Virginia, then went to Hampden-Sydney College. The end?
About Me: Guildwars Story
I joined GuildWars shortly after I got high-speed internet, making it my first graphics-drivin MMO. I started with Factions, playing an assassin, and sucking horribly. In fact, sins were new to the game and quite detested, but slowly, surely, I got through Factions, and eventually earning PVE nub respect for my sin's Shockwave build.
By Guilds
Clan of the White Mantle
This was my first guild, ever. I have a lot of fond memories of it, but everyone was fairly new to the game. I eventually made it to the officer position when I, being the only person in the guild far enough in factions to register us for an alliance, was asked to make us members of the Kurzicks. The guild eventually fell apart when our leader, Conan A, accidentally promoted an inactive officer to the Guild Leader Position.
The Forsaken Society
I met one of the officers and GL of this guild during my stay at [wing] from playing in AB. The transition was a natural choice, and here is where I was first introduced to GvG. The guild battles were made of epic fail, because no one knew exactly what to do, but we won a few matches and generally had lots of fun. The guild eventually began falling apart when the GL kicked one of the officers for no apparent reason. Eventually, myself, Fury, Daman, and maybe a few others followed John/Cass to the new guild.
The Purest Guild
Ironically, when I joined this guild, I was immediately promoted to officer status because John/Cass had become the GL. We were a member of the current Altrum Ruins alliance, and stayed as such for a long time. There, two new people were introduced: Drizz and Mokis. We had fun, played gvgs, and we headed a 70+ member guild. And lots and lots of AB. It was eventually decided that we did not want to be a slave to Kurzick faction, and thus left to form our own alliance that had guilds such as WOM, MWOW, and SERV.
Servants of Tyria
Because of guild drama, the upper eschalons decided to retreat into SERV, leaving me behind. I was royally pissed at this move, but eventually I relinquished control to the former owner of PURE and joined them in SERV. From here, we started doing regular HA during the 6vs6 era and kicking ass, making it to the later maps on a regular basis.
Bring Your Own
Eventually, because SERV and MWOW had so many close connections in HA, we decided to merge the guilds' pvp members into a new one. With Rooster, former MWOW leader, Cody, Amy, and myself new members of the guild, we tackled HA and enjoyed making crazy names such as: Ura Spoon Ima. With our tag as [ForK] it make a funny inside joke and we received some lols from other competitors and perhaps made us a small reputation as the kitchen appliance guild. It died when HA went back to 8vs8.
Hit By The Pimp Cup
The people of SERV went their different ways choosing different guilds. I ended up in dink because I had met the GL in HA. Emma was one crazy bitch, but fun to play with. Here, I was reintroduced into GVG playing the consistent, horrible position of nuker. I never really learned a whole lot about GvG, but it was fun. Eventually though, I got fed up with the guild drama and a few of the people, and left.
Strike Force
I joined Strike Force on the recommendation of John and Amy soon followed. It's an awesome place and has provided everything that I could want from the guild: stability, friendship, humor. It was here that I learned much about GVG. [ADD MORE STUFFS]
