Rom Burns
This Page is a Biography of the Character originally created in Magestorm - very sketchy at this point, just starting off an outline
Rom Burns (Born Aiolla, Folenn, Kulthea - Died Luiren, Faerun) was the military commander of the Aiollan nation known as Strike Force, and eventual Blackguard of Bane, corrupted by dark magic. He was redeemed by his half-sister Nurbmor Burns, but later killed by the priest of Bane that had originally sought to turn him. His death would lead to the partial corruption of Nurbmor herself, who assumed the identity of Aelor Besia.

Early Life
Born Aiolla to a wealthy nobleman Rem Burns.
Military Commander
Assumed the role as commander in chief of the Strike Force nation. Was forced to retreat to Britannia through a portal when the Bladestorm destroyed the Strike Force nation as well as much of the rest of Folenn.
Town Commander
A fledgling outpost was built deep in the Yew Forest from which other survivors from Folenn would reside, Rom assumed responsibility for its own protection against monsters and raiders. When it became possible for a portal back to Kulthea, he would lead an army back to Folenn.
Battle for Folenn
Other nations had sought to send armies of their own to salvage, and loot what remained of the decimated Folenn continent. Rom was successful in rebuilding a nation, and eliminated several other rival factions. Only an alliance between Plague and the Guild of the Dragons prevented total victory. In the face of overwhelming odds, a peace treaty was signed with their opponents. A military blunder towards the end of the war led to the deaths of 78 soliders under his command, and Rom was removed from his position.
Destruction of Folenn
Folenn would not survive a second onslaught of the Bladestorm, and forced a second evacuation. There would be no return. Rom and his sister would use a portal to transport to Faerun, and Rom decided to concentrate on harnessing his latent Psionic powers which had been his main weapon as a soldier.
Corruption and Death
Rom would be corrupted by the dark power of Bane inflicted on him by a priest of that order. Betraying and murdering his new found friends in the dark lands of Dambrath he would become a feared individual, enhanced by psionic energies. He would seek to turn others as he had been, although with little success. He was eventually redeemed by his sister whom he had disowned. He was killed by the Priest in front of Nurbmor, and the priest began channelling the dark energy that Rom had suppressed into Nurbmor. She had enough will remaining to overpower the priest and kill him, but not before a substantial part of her own soul had become corrupted. She would go onto assume the identity of Aelor Besia - the dark druid.
