HF\SF Alliance
(Date to be confirmed)
This is the text of the announcement of the HF\SF Alliance during the Battle for Folenn.
Let it be known that from this date (and from turn 2 onwards in the BFF) Strike Force (SF) are allied with the great Healers of Faith (HF). Together, we shall rule Folenn!
What this effectively means:
From Turn 2 onwards (next month - it will not affect any of this months matches) we will be able to help out HF, and vice versa. The form this help will take is up to 3 members per match. Now, as I get infomation on HF's matches, they will be relayed to you. We will probably set up some 'formal' communication method to make it easier as well. Bare in mind, that when their matches are announced, it may be beneficial for you to 'be around' at the time of their match, as they may need you.
Couple of things to remember on this:
- Since they can only use 3 of our players, they may elect to choose the 3 highest available at the time of their match. In all liklihood, if you're not a 15 or a 30 - you will not be needed. If however there is a lack of SF players around, it may still be beneficial to be around. The provided players are still subject to the rules of the match which is being played, including CLL limits.
In return for providing players for HF, they will be able to provide players for us as well, in our matches. I don't want to say that we will bump SF players off of a roster for playing a match, but if substituing one player for an alliance member would bring us closer to CLL, I may ask the player if they would mind sitting out, but they should not feel obligated to do so. SF will remain SF - for the members of SF, and the alliance is designed to cover 'gaps' in our roster that may emerge as a result of last minute technical problems from our members etc.
The only other downside of the alliance is the fact that now, as an allied unit, we will need to control 75% of the map in the event, as opposed to 51%. I think the benefits of having substitute players available outweighs this however.
I will bring you more infomation as it becomes necessary, but if there are any questions or major concerns about this decision, please email me. Bare in mind that ALL the major guilds in the new event have taken an Ally (BL with SoLD, PL with GoTD and DK with SBR). I believe this final decision will be beneficial for us, else I would have not have entered into it.
The alliance has not 'officially' been entered into the event, and will not be done until the next turn, next month. Most people will not know about it until then.
